Ashlyn, Receptionist
Ashlyn has been with Scottsboro Pet Care on and off since 2016. She started out working in the kennels and moved to reception in 2019. Ashlyn is now the head receptionist for the clinic. She graduated from Scottsboro High School in 2015 and continued her education at Northeast Alabama Community College where she earned an associate degree in Applied Science in 2017. Ashlyn is currently enrolled at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she is pursuing a degree in Accounting. Her anticipated graduation date is May 2023.
Ashlyn has four nieces and another niece or nephew on the way. Her pet family includes twelve dogs and two cats. A fun fact about Ashlyn is that she breeds Pomeranians in her spare time.
DeAnna, Receptionist
DeAnna became a team member at Scottsboro Pet Care in 2022. She graduated from Section High School in 2016. DeAnna’s family includes her mom, one sister, one niece, and one nephew. Her furry family includes one cat and two dogs. In her free time, DeAnna enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Jennifer, Veterinary Assistant
Jennifer has been with Scottsboro Pet Care since 2015. She is married and has one daughter, four dogs, one cat, one goat, and two horses.
Angel, Veterinary Assistant
Angel joined the staff at Scottsboro Pet Care in 2022. She is a certified veterinary assistant and has completed multiple continued education credits and classes. Angel brings ten years of experience in veterinary hospital work with her including seven of those years as an assistant. Angel has one daughter, Abigail, a dog named Hades, and two cats. A fun fact about Angel is that she has five chickens that she has named Elvis and the Dixie chicks.
Jessica, Veterinary Assistant
Jessica became a member of the staff at Scottsboro Pet Care in 2022. She graduated from Northeast Alabama Community College in 2013 with an associate degree in Science. Her prior work experience in the veterinary field includes four years at a nearby clinic. Jessica’s pet family includes one dog and three cats. A fun fact about her is that she has purple hair and enjoys dyeing her hair fun colors.
Leigha, Veterinary Assistant
Leigha has been with the staff at Scottsboro Pet Care since 2020. She graduated from Brewer High School with honors. Leigha has 15 years of experience in the veterinary medical field. She and her husband, Quinton, have three dogs; a collie mix named Duke, a Pitbull named Beau, and a Pitbull named Lady. A fun fact about Leigha is that she is left handed.
Angela, Kennel Manager
Angela has served as the kennel manager for Scottsboro Pet Care off and on since 2010. She is a graduate of DAR High School, Class of 1993. Angela’s experience in the veterinary field includes working with Safe Haven Animal Rescue. She also boards dogs at her home.
Angela’s family includes her husband, Brian, daughter, Samantha, son, Nate, and grandsons, Cason and Bennett. Her pet family consists of seven dogs and four cats.
